Shift Buddy ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Shift Buddy web application.

Local Storage Only: Shift Buddy stores your journal entries locally on your device using your browser's local storage. We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers.
No Account Required: Shift Buddy does not require account creation or personal identification.
No Tracking: We do not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technologies.
3. Journal Data
Your journal entries are:
- Stored only on your device
- Never transmitted to our servers
- Never shared with third parties
- Accessible only to you
- Deleted only if you clear your browser data or delete entries manually
Important: If you clear your browser cache/data, your journal entries will be permanently deleted.
4. Client/Participant Information
You must NEVER record any client or participant information in Shift Buddy, including:
- Names or identifying information
- Addresses or locations
- Medical diagnoses or conditions
- Incident details that could identify individuals
Shift Buddy is for your personal reflection only.
5. Third-Party Services
Shift Buddy does not use any third-party services, analytics, or integrations.
6. Data Security
While we don't store your data on our servers, we recommend:
- Using a secure device
- Setting a device password/lock
- Not sharing your device with others
- Being mindful of what you write in your journal
7. Children's Privacy
Shift Buddy is designed for professional care workers (18+) and is not intended for use by children.
