Steps to Follow
- Take 3 slow breaths: inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 6.
- Name the feeling silently.
- Check safety: if unsafe, escalate immediately.
- If allowed, step away for a quick reset.
- Drink water, stretch, breathe.
- Tell TL/on-call if still struggling.
- After shift: debrief, EAP, or talk to someone you trust.
